Captains Of Industry

is a loosely connected organisation of like-minded writers, musicians, artists, poets, publishers, record labels, producers, fanzines and other deviants of the artistic / altruistic process. Through a simple shared philosophy the collective aims to share resources and provide cross-cultural reference points in order to aid creative output and spread a message of opposition to those who misuse their positions of power - be they artistic, economic or political.

You heard it through the rapevine, oh blood sucking unicorns. From their frantic smart punk soundwaves to synthesized art trash mayhem, new trio Silicon Vultures circle the crystalline deserts in search of their prey. …

Formed in 2006 in some English town or another and fuelled by a sickness of musical restrictions - especially within the punk and hardcore scenes that spawned them – Silicon Vultures spit in the face of narrow-minded pseudo-elitist clowns with sassy vigour. A fusion of psychosexually drenched punk assaultage and no-wave electronic dance rhythms, their near-mythical live shows illustrate that the SV were born to stir up a shitstorm.

Through word of mouth, their 2006 debut 5-track demo lead to repeated airplay from Radio 1’s Daniel P Carter and Zane Lowe and prompted UK label Captains Of Industry to sign them in December 2006 having never even seeing them live.

They kick things off with a free download of ‘Sour Tits’ on January 30 2007, followed by their 4-track debut single proper in April 2007.

Silicon Vultures influences are precise and referential and include elements of pre/post-punk (Suicide, PiL, Eno), hardcore's more interesting bands (Blood Brothers, Nation Of Ulysses etc) and the little known US synth-punk scene of the early 80s (Screamers, Our Daughters Wedding).

The flow of sugar rush vocals and haywire screams spew out images of sarcastic post-modern nightmares, against a heady squall of guitar and synth-based artery stabs, bass distorted dance bombs and electronic drum pummels. Their exterior reflects their interior - stylish and subversive, a gang art-bent on provocative aesthetics.

Silicon Vultures manic live shows are currently turning clubs inside out, elevating willing bodies and leaving naysayers as nothing but bubbling entrails on the dance floor.

Silicon Vultures are Delaney Jae (vocals), Jordan Page (guitar/synth) and Buddy Hell (bass)
